Chairman Seyler called the monthly meeting for December to order at 7:00 pm at the Union Fire Hall. The Open Meeting Laws were displayed for public reference. On roll call: Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Crook- Aye. Minutes of the November Regular Board Meeting were reviewed. Vidlak motioned to approve November 9th Meeting Minutes with the change to Intuit Payroll fee in Claims from $6.00 to $15.00. 2nd by Crook. By Roll, Trustee votes are as follows: Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Crook- Aye. Motion approved. Claims and Accounts were presented. Lift station processed 1,152,000 gallons of wastewater. Heyen reported that the lagoon cells are down and will need to pump water into them to ensure compliance. New truck will be picked up tomorrow morning. Fire Report- NTR Union United Inc. Report: Nothing to report Old Business: Vidlak motioned to pass resolution 23-04, Adoption of the Findings of the Village Health Board. 2nd by Ruby. New Business: The clerk read in the election certification for the Union Village Trustees into the minutes: Madeline C. Feek 47 votes Karen Ackley Fritschle 42 votes The clerk swore in the following new trustees: Madeline Feek and Karen Fritschle. Ruby nominated Charles J. Seyler, II as Chairman. 2nd by Hill. By Roll, Trustee votes are as follows: Seyler – Aye, Feek – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Fritschle- Aye. Motion approved. Chairman Seyler appointed Trustee Ruby as Utilities Commissioner, Trustee Hill as Streets Commissioner and himself as Park Commissioner. Chairman Seyler called the New Board to Order. On roll call: Seyler – Aye, Feek – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Fritschle- Aye. All Present. Ruby authorized Chairman Seyler to sign WWAC Pre-Application for Financial Aid. 2nd by Hill. By Roll, Trustee votes are as follows: Seyler – Aye, Feek – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Fritschle- Aye. Motion approved. Chairman Seyler appointed Melissa Hansen as Village Clerk/Treasurer setting her wages at $20.00 per hour. Chairman Seyler also appointed Steve Heyen as Village Maintenance at $18.51 per hour and Michael Contreras as part-time maintenance at $19.31 per hour, Ric Ortmeier as Village Accountant, Olsson as Engineering Firm. Justin Stark, S-1534, class A on contract at Olsson for Street Superintendent, Health Board members Michael Contreras and Cass Crook. Dale Hansen was appointed for a one-year appointment to the Planning Commission, Donna Ruby and Debbie Vidlak, 2nd year of a three-year appointment, Shawn Hoy and Dave Kendall 2nd year of a two-year appointment. Rush Chipman Law was appointed as Village Legal Counsel. Ruby motioned to award performance bonuses to Melissa Hansen at $750, Steve Heyen and Michael Contreras at $350, and Dave Chipman at $599.00. 2nd by Hill. By Roll, Trustee votes are as follows: Seyler – Aye, Feek – Aye, Hill – Aye, Ruby – Aye and Fritschle- Aye. Motion approved. Hill motioned to adjourn at 7:50 pm. 2nd by Ruby.
