What I Like About Living in Union . . .
You never know what suprising sights you will see when looking out your window! Thank you to the beautiful horses Abby and Dakota for making our day!
Union Leadership Challenge
Union has been selected to participate in the Nebraska Community Improvement Program (NCIP) Leadership Development Challenge offered through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. The NCIP is providing a free curriculum to help Union build on their current leadership and volunteerism levels, as well as complete one or more capstone projects that will be submitted to the DED for potential implementation and funding.
Union is very lucky to have been selected for this program, as only two other Nebraska communities were chosen. There will be a kick-off meeting early 2010 where a DED representative will present an overview of the curriculum and answer any questions. Many members of the community are needed to make this program successful, including a broad age range of community members as well as community members that may have not been involved in the past. Please contact Mindy Chipman at 890-8287 to participate and for more information!
