A Jam Session Workshop will be offered on Thursday, April 16, from 6 PM - 7:30 PM in The Old Avoca (NE) Schoolhouse. This workshop, gently guided by fiddler Deborah Greenblatt, is for acoustic musicians of any age or experience who would like a little guidance and practice in the subtle art of "jamming". In this supportive, easy-going atmosphere, players will share and exchange ideas about negotiating your way through a tune, even if you have never heard it before.
The Jam Session Workshop will have a minimum enrollment of 4, and a maximum enrollment of 10. The fee is $15.00 per musician. To sign up for the Jam Session Workshop, or for more information, e-mail Deborah Greenblatt (debby@greenblattandseay.com), or call 402-275-3221.

FARCE OF NATURE
by
Jones, Hope, and Wooten
The final show of the winter season at Kountze Memorial Theatre in Mahoney State Park is Farce of Nature by Jones, Hope, and Wooten. It is a Southern-fried farce depicting one day at the struggling Reel ‘em Inn fishing lodge where a lone guest is being housed as part of the government’s witness protection program. The mobster he’s hiding from and his sexy wife, who is quite taken with the lodge owner’s son show up. The witness tries to disguise himself and hilarity ensues. An absent-minded, gun-toting maid, wild animal noises, and run for your life humor keep the show moving. Romance among the couples, some of which is created by a hypnotic suggestion, floods the stage and is sure to win you over—hook, line, and sinker.
The show is directed by Kevin Colbert of KBC Productions. Cast members include: Brandy Palatas and John Bell of Papillion, Kevin and Betty Colbert of Weeping Water, Brenna Thompson of Lincoln, Shari Hoelker and Stacy White of Omaha, Jim Knierim of Louisville, and Scott Seelhoff of Fremont.
The show dates: March 13, 14,15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, April 4,10,11,12
