Fire Report- Brett Wagner was present to brief the Board on improvements needed for the Fire building. The issues with the propane heaters in the fire bay are mostly because the supply line from the propane tank is too small. The Nehawka Rural Fire Department will replace the heaters with appropriate line and pay for the cost in full. The roof will also need to be maintained. Wagner received quotes as follows: Full tear off and replacement $52,000, Foam coating guaranteed for 10 years, but no hail coverage at $9,000, Rubber coating with 10-year warranty, $15,500, 20-year rubber coating $ 18,972. Clerk informed Wagner that the village didn’t budget roof repair for this fiscal year. Wagner responded that they can pay for the repair and receive reimbursement in the following fiscal year from the Village after it is budgeted. Wagner has still not received word back on door replacement from contractors. Union United Inc. Report: Working on a date for Village Clean Up. Vidlak helped the Board come up with a plan to 1. trap, neuter and release (TNR) all unaltered cats that do not have tipped ears, marking them as already neutered. 2. Contact people to find out who the collared cats belong to and 3. Instruct residents not to feed them in their yards. There is a feral cat feeding station behind the Junktion for the TNR community.
