MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 9, 2022

The chairman called the monthly meeting for November to order at 7:00 pm at the Union Office/Fire Hall at 500 Main St. The Open Meeting Laws were displayed for public reference.  On roll call:  Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Crook – Aye, Ruby-Aye, Hill – Aye.

Minutes of the October Board Meeting were reviewed. Ruby motioned to approve October 12th Meeting Minutes. 2nd by Crook.   By Roll, Trustee votes as follows: Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Crook – Aye, Ruby-Aye, Hill – Aye. Motion approved.

Claims and Accounts were presented. Ruby motioned to approve November Claims and Accounts.   2nd by Crook.  By Roll, Trustee vote as follows: Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Crook – Aye, Ruby-Aye, Hill – Aye. Motion approved.

CORRESPONDENCE- The clerk received correspondence from NDEE on Water Study Grant.  They have reimbursed us for $17,500 for the study.  Approximately $2000 is being withheld until Olsson completes a few items NDEE expected in the study.
CLERK REPORT – The clerk met with MAPA about possible projects eligible for grants and assistance. Audit Waiver documentation is completed and sent to the accountant. Treasurer Certification documents have been uploaded to the Auditor of Public Accounts website.  Nuisance properties have still not completed the abatement requested by the Board.  Clerk is to send Show Cause notifications on 115 N 3rd for roof repair on garage, and 215 A for yard waste build-up.
Village Maintenance Report – Heyen reported 978,000 gallons of water metered and pumps ran for 167 hours. The lift station processed 1,176,000 gallons of waste water. Board discussed state of rock at the end of alleys and directed Heyen to contact Steve Bescheinen to do the rock work.

New Business: 

Vidlak motioned to pass Resolution 23-02, Signing of the Year End Certification of Street Superintendent 2022. 2nd by Ruby.  By Roll, Trustee votes as follows: Seyler – Aye, Vidlak – Aye, Crook – Aye, Ruby-Aye, Hill – Aye. Motion approved.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for December 14, 2022 at the Union Fire Hall.  The Meeting Notice and Agenda will be posted for the public at the Village Office, the Union Junktion, and the Union Post Office by December 9, 2022.
