CORRESPONDENCE – The clerk received IRS correspondence for the Union Volunteer Fire Department requesting returns for 2021 and 2022. A property owner also contacted the clerk for information on the location of property lines for her and her neighbor because of access problems arising while trying to maintain her building.
CLERK REPORT – Clerk took park in a ClerkBooks demo for a product they are developing to replace the need for QuickBooks Desktop which Intuit has announce won’t be available to subscribe to after June 1, 2024. ClerkBooks modules now interface with the Desktop version, and is not compatible with the Online version Inuit is pushing. Worst case scenario, ClerkBooks is compatible with the Enterprise version, but this version contains a lot of things municipalities do not need.
Village Maintenance Report – Heyen reported 1,503,000 gallons of water metered and pumps ran for 262 hours. The lift station processed 732,000 gallons. Heyen rebuilt a vacuum pump for the lift station. Heyen also noted that a lagoon pipe he has been looking to repair is now visible. He asked the Chair if he can hire his grandson as an assistant to work with him on this project. Heyen also asked if he can contract summer help for park maintenance this upcoming season. Chairman Seyler agreed to both.
