2022 09 07 UNION NE American Legion 1

We would like to try a donation approach again. We tried this several months ago and didn’t receive anything.

Our organization, Union American Legion Auxiliary, is nonprofit and we do not receive any government funding. Our goal is to support the community and veterans. We find this to be difficult since we pay our own insurance and utilities. Our activities are through donations. We have always served funeral dinners for veterans and the community. The type of dinner varies depending on what the family wishes. Members make and donate the food. We stress to the members the food has to follow safety food regulations. We do have a nutritionist and a culinary specialist in our group.

We have tried to raise the money for an improved front sidewalk. We serve 1000-2000 people every year with elections and dinners. The funeral dinners vary in size 25-200.

Another approach is to give the old part of town playground equipment for the older children.

Please give your donation to the Union American Legion Auxiliary to 104 Main, Box 124, Union, NE A receipt will be mailed to you that can be used for tax purposes.

COME ON OVER!

This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity.  People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.

Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
